The age of 13 is quite mysterious and remarkable as many of us
must have experienced. Almost everyone can remember this particular age as a
beginning of a chapter of Human Relationships and many a times the memories are
so vivid that it appears the time has hardly passed by. Yet there are always
few guys for whom the age is mysterious like a black-hole (obviously this is a
Hyperbole), the guys are generally those who are running around 6 months to 1 yr ahead in terms of education.
It is like a tradition
these days that students join schools nearly a year ahead of their respective
age. For such guys the age of 13 is really mysterious. In the remote areas of
India and even in convent schools of remote areas there is a tradition of
sitting arrangements, the boys to occupy half of the rows of one side and girls
to occupy the other half of the other side. The Boys and the Girls are serious opponents
of each other in all aspects and quite often it’s the girls who dominate the
class in terms of education till the age of 13 at least. Girls generally occupy better
ranks, and have a strong arrogance towards the boys. On the other hand Boys
finds sabotage in relatively easier areas compared to studies. It is true that
almost all the boys have few selected girls of interest and in remote areas there
are hardly 2,3 in the same class. The situation is terrible for most of the
guys as quite often these are the same girls to occupy better ranks in the class
and often have a tremendous attitude inbuilt because of regular success. Guys do n number of things to
impress these specific girls but most of the time all the attempts go in vain. Girls
seem to be the toughest nut to crack, worlds says girls are more sensitive but
these girls are so robust they cannot have any feelings!! This is quite common statement among guys. Generally
with this point of view one reaches the age of 13, and who knew what was in
store for them for future.
After this age the situation changes dramatically, the girls
who were the ardent competitors for boys suddenly show loss of attitude, ego
and competitiveness, the animosity starts dissolving and boys are finally able
to share their thoughts with their favorite respective girl. This is quite
strange for the guy who has not reached 13 till that date. How did things
change so dramatically? One can understand if one girl change her attitude towards
boys, but when it happens to all of them it is quite strange from the point of
view of younger guys in the same class. The question is bold and biology text
does not give any specific answer. Some guys are able to catch the frequency of
the changes in girls and soon one finds couples in the same class or even
outside class. For some this is unusual
and often strange, for they say “I have not been able to get my match and yet
many got them” the situation becomes hazardous when ones like become someone
else’s match. There is indeed something in the air! Guys must have heard that
after a certain age things will become easier, but before 13 all it appears is nonsense.
For few more years some guys keep on wandering to understand
what has exactly happened in that particular age how did things change so
dramatically at the age of 13 but what actually comes as an answer is the same
old Biology text which guys never cared to understand at that age.
